Meet our Lovable Animals
Rescue Animals
Gus
Look at that sweet face! Gus is a 2 year old Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pig. He came from a home where he was loved, but he was not getting along with the other animals and was stressed and unhappy. He was in need of a fresh start, or one could say, a new beginning. He loves apples, warm oatmeal, and being sung to in the morning. Gus has a gentle and kind way about him. He does not like marshmallows, but will eat any fruit or vegetable.
Henry
Henry is a 2 year old Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pig. He and Gus came to us together. Henry likes popcorn, and pretty much any food you give him. He enjoys a good nap in the sunshine.
Henry acts gruff on the outside, but he is really a softy on the inside. Henry looks after Gus. He "tucks him in" to their nest at night by helping to put straw around him. What a sweetheart!
Oliver
Oliver's journey is quite remarkable. He narrowly escaped a tragic fate when a semi truck carrying him and other meat pigs was involved in an accident. Rescued by an animal control officer, he ended up at a shelter. They shelter reached out to us, and the rest, as they say, is history. Now, Oliver has a fresh start in life and a loving home to call his own! A new beginning.
Taylor Swine
Taylor was found after having been abandoned on the side of the road. She was dumped and left to fend for herself. Animal control had tried to catch her for weeks, but were not able to find her when they arrived. They received a call that she was on a person's property and immediately responded to the call. Though scared and skittish, Taylor was lured in with a Ding Dong and brought straight to our farm sanctuary. When she arrived and saw her new home, she was smiling and wagging her tail. After a snack, she snuggled in the hay and took a long nap. She knew she was home!
Billy "the Kid" and Esther our mini goats that live on the farm. They were at a livestock auction, and we loved them the moment we saw them. They are very friendly, energetic, and love to go on walks around the farm.
Chewbacca
We went to a shelter in West Virginia and right away when we saw Chewy, we knew he would be a part of our family. The shelter where we adopted him from~ Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter is consistently full of animals and accepts donations and volunteer help. We hope that all the animals, like Chewbacca, can find a home where they can be loved and have quality lives. This is their webpage~ https://hcwanimalshelter.com/
Dante
Dante joined our family when he was just a puppy. He was in a shelter in Montana, where we lived at the time. Dante is always up for a hike or a walk. He loves peanut butter treats and pup cups.
Shadow
One evening we were out for a walk on the farm and heard a terribly sad meowing sound. Out of the woods came Shadow! No one in are area was missing a cat, so we adopted Shadow into the family. Shadow loves to snuggle right up in your arms and will take all the attention he can get.
